Digital Equalizer Program

The American India Foundation (AIF)

The American India Foundation (AIF) is devoted to accelerating social and economic change in India by connecting communities and resources across the United States and India.

AIF’s grants are focused on education and livelihood projects with a particular emphasis on primary education and women’s empowerment.

In Mysore more than 500 villagers have become computer literate

Edurite Technologies with the American India Foundation (AIF) and the Government of Karnataka initiated the Digital Equalizer program (DE) which was aimed at bridging the digital divide between urban and rural students in India.

Edurite Technologies has established five learning centers at Besagerahalli, Nanjedevanapura, Mysore Bangalore and provided content for more than 71 AIF centers. The results from the first two centers established have been astounding. In Besagerahalli, the X STD pass percentage went up from 13% to 23% (2001-02) to 71% (2003-04) and the XII STD pass percentage went up from 31% to 61%.
