Well once you get into it you should find that it involves a lot of algebra. Just take good notes, listen in class, ask questions, and ask your teacher for extra help.

Answers:Elijah, thats who they hoped he would be, a forerunner to the messiah, John came to help establish a new covenant. To teach people to start changing from the inside out, he came to teach them that the old way of sacrificing animals did not take away the guilt of sin and that a better way was coming, Jesus was Perfect, and as a lamb led to the slaughter he opened not his mouth and died the terrible death on the Cross as a Sacrifice for our sins. To take away the sins of the world, Praise and Glory to the Lamb!!!

How many ounces of a 20% salt solution should be mixed with a 10% salt solution to produce 45 ounces of a 14% salt solution? x=amount of 20% solution y=amount of 10% solution x+y=45 .2x+.1y=.14(45) .2x+.1(45-x)=.14(45) .2x+4.5-.1x=6.3 .1x-1.8 x=18 y=27 18 ounces = amount of 20% solution 27 ounces = amount of 10% solution ================================== 3. With a tailwind, a jet flew 2000 miles in 4 hours, but the return trip against the same wind required 5 hours. Find the jet's speed and the wind speed. x=jet's speed y=wind's speed 4(x+y)=2000---->x+y=500 5(x-y)=2000----->x-y=400 add 2x=900 x=450 y=50 450 mph=jet's speed 50 mph=wind's speed ================================= 4. Question:I had a test today and there were three problems I wasn't sure of. Can you tell me the answers to these three please? 1. What is the geometric mean of 9 and 27. Answer in simplist radical form. 2. What is the geometric mean of 10 and 18. Answer in simplist radical form. 3. There is a right triangle with sides 13, 12, and 6. What is the length of the altitude from the right angle to the hypotenuse. If you only know 1 of the answers, it is better than nothing. Plaese help. Thanks

Answers:3. Area of this right triangle is 6*12/2=36 But the same area may be computed multiply hypotenusa with the length of the altitude from the right angle to the hypotenuse and divide by 2 then this length is 36*2/13 The real problem is : 13,12 and 6 are not form a right triangle. because 12^2+6^2 is not equal with 13^2
