The concept of periodic table is very important one in the field of chemistry. Various chemicals will be available in the chemical lab. 
It is important one understands the properties of these chemicals before using them; otherwise accidents are prone to take place in the lab. 
Some of these experiments ideally should be be conducted only under the supervision of the experts.

The nature of the 365 simple science experiments that must be carried out in order to understand the concepts clearly can be of varying nature. One must learn to conduct them carefully and efficiently in order to understand them and derive a result from them and on case a proper result is not obtained then it would be a waste of time and money as well as the effort of the person or persons involved. 
So, it should have a meaningful purpose. Once the results are obtained they must be documented. 
This would be useful for the future reference and come in handy in times of need. It is a good habit of documenting information.

Question:For science class, i have to perform my own experiment (it has to be simple though) so i chose which melts faster--Chocolate, ice, or butter. If i were to go about doing this, would i leave the chocolate, ice, and butter out in the sun and just time how long it takes to melt or should i try microwaving each one individually?

Answers:No! leave the chocolate, ice, butter out in the sun and record in ur lab notebook or whatever u will use to write down the data how long it had taken each of the substances to melt. Your teacher would probably prefer it more that microwaving each one individually.

Answers:Build a little river channel out of clay (or wood, whatever). Keep in mind the actual topography of a river is basically flat with its surroundings. Make sure that you have some "floodplains" out to the sides. Put up a little St. Louis for entertainment. On one end, the mouth, open it up just a little bit and make a little river delta (you don't have to do this step, but the experiment would look better). At the other end, the "headwaters" put some funnels, or some kind of catchment area (if you want absolute quick and simple, don't use any funnels, just use a triangular area that narrows to the width of the river. Great. Now, here's the easy part. Find the maximum amount of water that you can dump out of a cup (etc) to bring the water near the rim of the river. Then double that amount or triple that amount, and pour it into your river -- it should definitely overflow. When making your river, don't make it just a straight line, because it might allow the water to simply channel straight down. So let it jog back and forth a little bit. They key is to simulate the excess precipitation and snow melt that makes a river (such as the Mississippi, that i"m thinking of in this case) flood over its banks. Good luck!
