A condition characterized by a great fear for school is known as Didaskaleinophobia. Separation Anxiety is the common name used to describe this condition in most of the cases.  Many doctors argue that separation anxiety stems out of a fear of getting separated from the parents along with the fear of attending the school. These doctors often opine that the Didaskaleinophobia is a kind of separation anxiety. School violence – the new face of Bullying

Violence that surpasses various degrees of severity in the educational institutions is termed as “School Violence”.  The heinous nature of the school violence has made shocking revelations that involve actions like knife attacks and shooting. The less heinous nature may involve other forms of bullying through verbal or physical violence. Schools across the globe have come up with various programs to curb school violence; still there is no concrete solution that has been found. By far, the most common form of school violence is presumed to be bullying and an increase in the various forms of bullying makes it difficult to recognize the practice. Dealing with sexual harassment in the school

Students are like beautiful buds that are yet to bloom as flowers. What if this beautiful phase is crushed with a sin that destroys the very essence of childhood? Yes, just turn around and you will find there are numerous buds (students) that are suffering, crying and facing some dreadful deeds , that deprive them from leading a normal life thus compelling them to take up a life filled with suffocation and a feeling of worthlessness. Poroporoaki- the ancient tradition of saying goodbye

Every vacation passed and I felt that I missed something very important. Various attempts to trace the element failed. I often felt my teaching lacked a special touch. It was only a few years ago that I figured out the actual missing element that gave me a contendness of being a teacher and a guide. Let us understand the pros and cons of the School uniform

There has been a long lasting debate on the issue of dress code or the school uniforms. There have been regulations imposed by the school administration on the dress code. The schools are of the opinion that imposing dress code is a matter of discipline whereas another group feels it is unfair to the students. This long lasting “Tug of War” comes into picture especially in the Parent Teacher Meetings. Let us find out the pros and the cons of the school uniforms and see if we can derive a conclusion?
