CBSE board * Should Class 10 board exams be optional or compulsory?

The CBSE board was and is still one of India’s most reputed boards.  After the Right to Education Act was introduced in 2010, the CBSE board made class 10 board exams optional.  This provides students with the freedom to choose how their learning will be evaluated based on their unique learning journey and also conditioning factors.  The CBSE board introduced the CCE which stands for Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation.  Through CCE, formative and summative assessments are conducted throughout the year through which students’ learning has been evaluated.  Formative assessments include exercises, projects and assignments through which students can practice and apply their learning in original and brave ways in real-life conditions.   Summative assessments are written tests and exams through which students can further check, discuss and explain topics learnt.
