Library and Information Science – Career Choice

Law/legal studies will be introduced as an elective for the academic year 2014-2015 by the CBSE board for class 11 and class 12 students.  This continues from the basic foundation laid down by relevant social science topics in middle school as well as the debating and speech skills developed during English communication and other language classes.  The legal studies topics covered in Class 11 CBSE are Theory and Nature of Political Institutions, Nature and Sources of Law, Historical Evolution of Indian Legal System, Civil and Criminal Courts and Process and Family Justice System.  In class 12, the topics covered are Judiciary, Topics in Law, Arbitration, Tribunal Adjudication and Alternate Dispute Resolution, Human Rights in India, Legal Profession in India, Legal Services and International Context.
