21st Century Skills – How to Develop Good Communication Skills

Developing problem-solving skills is like a buzzword and mantra for enhancing 21st century learning skills.  Gone are the days when students were pressurized to merely score well in exams without thinking about how they can apply it in real life.  Problem-solving skills can empower students to think deeply and critically about different topics and then come up with innovative solutions to various problems. 21st Century Learning Skills – Critical Thinking Skills

Critical thinking skills have been identified as important 21st century skills.  In the past, teachers were pressurized to teach to the test and exam.  Some students even “mugged up” for the test or exam without deeply and critically thinking about topics.  Very few students were encouraged to research or apply their learning in real life situations in order to problem solve and innovate.   Educational reforms of the 21st century across many boards including CBSE (NCERT) have recognized the importance of instilling critical thinking skills in students.  The challenge of course lies in implementing educational reforms effectively.   On this note, let us have a short discussion about the 21st century learning skill–critical thinking.
