Learn the difference between the Mayan, Roman and the Arabic system

The global standard of mathematics is based on the Hindu – Arabic system today. Earlier there were scores of civilizations that followed their own different systems of mathematics. The numerations were pictured in different ways by each civilization. The numbering system of the Mayans: The concept for symbolizing zero was initiated by the Mayans. There were several symbols like the head or the hieroglyphic shells used as symbols. Unlike the Roman system, the place values in the Mayan system had numbers but written in a vertical manner in a column. The vertical column consisted of the digit “one” at the bottom. The place values never consisted multiples of 10 but multiples of 20. Dots were used to denote digits where one dot represented through four and bars of five. Is there a need to mandate seat belts in school buses?

Every day splashes spine chilling news about road accidents especially the ones about the school buses. This is followed by a line stating that a specific number of students killed while another lot seriously injured and a few left with minor scars and bruises. Such accidents trigger the debate across the nation on whether or not allowing mandatory seat belts in the school buses. The families of the innocent victims have to resort to legal action against the school authorities. But would this suffice the cause?  Can this stop the occurrence of the accidents? No, but certain precautionary measures can prevent the happening of the great harm.
